New Release Tuesdays

Tulsa King Season 2- Sly is back as a gangster setting up shop in Oklahoma.  He is great in this role and looks like he is having a good time doing it as well.

Trick or Treat- A bullied teenage boy is devastated after the death of his heavy metal idol, Sammi Curr. But as Halloween night approaches, he discovers that he may be the only one who can stop Sammi from making a Satanic comeback from beyond the grave.  I have always heard of this but have never seen it because it was hard to find there for a while.

Den of Thieves: Pantera- Big Nick is back on the hunt in Europe and closing in on Donnie, who is embroiled in the treacherous world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia, as they plot a massive heist of the world's largest diamond exchange.  The first was a good heist movie so hopefully this is one is too.

Moana 2- After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she's ever faced.  I am always down for checking out what the Rock is cooking.

Night Moves- Los Angeles private investigator Harry Moseby is hired by a client to find her runaway teenage daughter. Moseby tracks the daughter down, only to stumble upon something much more intriguing and sinister.  It is only fitting that this came out shortly after Hackman’s death.  This is one of his best flicks and is highly recommended.

Red One- After Santa Claus is kidnapped, the North Pole's Head of Security must team up with a notorious hacker in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas.  The Rock is cooking again.  This is not a bad Christmas flick and I will probably spin this during the holidays.

A Complete Unknown- In 1961, an unknown 19-year-old Bob Dylan arrives in New York City with his guitar and forges relationships with musical icons on his meteoric rise, culminating in a groundbreaking performance that reverberates around the world.

Shiver Me Timbers- In 1986 Northern California, Olive Oyl, her brother Castor and friends, go on a camping trip to see the meteor shower with Halley's comet. But the night turns into horror as a meteor transforms Popeye, into a unstoppable killing machine.  OK, this was not as bad as it looks.  It falls apart a bit at the end but grab a can of beer or spinach and enjoy it for what it is.

Flight Risk- A pilot transports an Air Marshal accompanying a fugitive to trial. As they cross the Alaskan wilderness, tensions soar and trust is tested, as not everyone on board is who they seem.  Looks like Marky Mark goes on a wild ride on this Mel Gibson directed thriller.  Sign me up!

The Keep- Nazis are forced to turn to a Jewish historian for help in battling the ancient demon they have inadvertently freed from its prison.  Did you know that Michael Mann made a horror movie back in the early 80s?  Not many people do because this movie turned out to be a mess when the studio took it from him, and he disowns it now.  The experience was so bad for him he retreated to TV and developed a little show called Miami Vice before making his comeback to the big screen.  Apparently, the hold up on this title has been the Tangerine Dream soundtrack so I have never see it either but I do remember the VHS cover from back in the days.  I watched it the other night and maybe there is a reason not many people know of this title.  It was not that good.  Anyway, it is available now and in short supply, so buyer beware.
