New Release Tuesday

 Today we get some cult classics that have been in high demand for some time.

Battle Beyond the Stars- Richard Thomas, George Peppard, and Robert Vaughn star in this blatant Star Wars rip off that is like Magnificent Seven in space. This was a nice little low budget movie and had many of its FX shots recycled in other movies.

Damnation Alley-  In an post-apocalyptic world a group of survivors lead by Jan Michael Vincent and George Peppard travel around in one of the most cool vehicles you will see in a movie.  I never even had a copy of this on VHS so it has been awhile since I have seen this but I do remember they encounter giant killer cockroaches!


It's the All Star Break and the Rangers have won seven in a row to end the first half of the season and hold a one game lead.  There are not many trade options out there right now because it us a sellers market right now but we will see how it is at the trade deadline.

There is not much out this week but we do have a little jewel released earlier in the year and this flick is quickly gaining cult status.

Hobo with a Shotgun- The great Rutger Hauer stars as a homeless vigilante that takes down crooked cops, bad Santas, and other punks with his pump shotgun.  With a tagline like "Delivering justice one shell at a time" I am definitely in on this one.


Still on Dexter season 2 and True Blood season 3.

The Rangers just swept the Orioles and have a 1 game lead on the Angels.  Nice to see the offense deliver these last few games.
