Movie Poster Wednesday-Psycho 3

New Release Tuesday

The year's biggest movie comes out today and it is much deserving of all the cash it raked in.  Congrats to Marvel Studios for getting this altogether and making it such a success critically and financially.  Warner Brother, when are you getting on board with JLA?  I saw this in the theater on opening night and that was the most fun I have had in the theater in a long time.  And they finally got the Hulk right this time!

I have bought these movies a couple time more than I would like and I know there will be more complete collections that will come out in the future but I am a sucker for the fifty year thing.  I love most of these and I am excited to be getting the nine unreleased blu rays in this set.  Bring on Skyfall!

Warner animation continues to release good stuff.  This is based on Frank Miller's 1986 story of an older Bruce Wayne coming out of retirement to be Batman and reclaim Gotham City which has fell to crime in a very bad way.

The FX network is turning out some great TV lately.  This was a really good horror story of a family living in a haunted house and they have to deal with all the past occupants, living and dead.  Great for horror buffs and features fine work by Jessica Lange as she won an Emmy for her role in this.

Top 10: Coolest Vehicles in Movies

1. The Bat Mobile- The Dark Knight Just about every Bat Mobile you see in any of the other movies is cool but I love Nolan's version because it is almost tank like.  And there is a Bat Pod in there too!
2. James Bonds' Aston Martin-  Goldfinger This was first introduced in Goldfinger and appeared in many more Bond flicks but I gotta stick with Goldfinger on this one.  First, because of the guy standing by it.  Second, we see the ejector seat in action.

3. 1968 Ford Bullitt Mustang GT390- Bullitt  The late, great Steve McQueen had the pleasure of driving this in still the best car chase ever filmed.

4. 1977 Pontiac Trans Am- Smokey and the Bandit This car totally wowed audiences back in the day with its speed and bridge jumping ability.  It became a huge seller and Pontiac sent Burt Reynolds a new one every year.
5. 1973 Ford Falcon aka the V-8 Interceptor- The Road Warrior  This car could out run anything in the Wasteland.  It sure was a shame to blow it up.
6. Early 90s Chevy Truck- Tango and Cash I'm a truck guy and wanted one of these ever since I saw this.  The only bad thing about Tango and Cash was that this truck was not in it enough.

7. The Landmaster- Damnation Alley  A fun little sci fi movie in 1977 that got way overshadowed by some George Lucas movie.  The Landmaster was the star of the movie as it had guns, rockets, and was also an amphibious vehicle.

8. 1981 Delorean DMC-12- Back to the Future  Not only did this car have cool doors but it flew and time traveled.

9. 1959 Cadillac Ambulance- Ghostbusters  Not bad for a Caddy but this car did have one annoying horn on it.

10. 1969 Dodge Charger- The Dukes of Hazzard  A bit of a give up here but this awesome ride was featured in a very bad movie.  Yeeeehah!
