New Release Tuesday
Mortal hero Bek teams with the god Horus in an alliance
against Seth, the merciless god of darkness, who has usurped Egypt's throne,
plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. This looks bad and Gerard Butler must have
scored a big check to be in this clunker.
Five sisters in 19th century England must cope with the
pressures to marry while protecting themselves from a growing population of
zombies. This is a fantastic sounding
concept and I need to check this out soon.
Jesse Owens' quest to become the greatest track and field
athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where
he faces off against Adolf Hitler's vision of Aryan supremacy. This is a nice looking historical flick.
Terrorists who kidnap a child from a wealthy family are
pursued by a deadly snake. I wonder if
this involves car chases? And why does
the snake care about the kidnapped child?
Let’s watch and find out.
One of several Rudy Ray Moore films, THE HUMAN TORNADO is
part of the on-going adventures of Dolemite: a signifying' super-hero. Dolemite
comes to the rescue of Queen Bee, whose primarily black Nightclub is threatened
by White Mafia types. I love these old 70s
flicks.

New Release Tuesday
Former FBI profiler Will Graham returns to service to pursue
a deranged serial murderer named "the Tooth Fairy" by the media and
gets assistance from an old foe. Michael
Mann introduced the cinematic world to Dr. Hannibal Lecktor who is played by
Brian Cox in this classic thriller. Mann
brought over his Miami Vice look and feel to this movie and unfortunately that
does stamp a date on the movie somewhat but it does not take anything else away
as this movie is badass. William
Peterson has never been better as he is here and same goes for the
underappreciated Tom Noonan. This is a
Collector’s Edition from Scream Factory that has some really nice, new special features
on it. This comes with the highest of recommendations.
The Coast Guard makes a daring rescue attempt off the coast
of Cape Cod after a pair of oil tankers are destroyed during a blizzard in
1952. Disney has already written this
off as their bomb for this year as this tanked at the box office in
January. I wanted to check this out but The Alamo did
not carry it so a rental is worthy soon.
I am not the biggest Cronenberg fan but this is a nice set
that has some of his early works making their blu ray debut.
No, No, No!
