Last year's Best Picture of the year debuts on blu this week. It is an interesting story and I applaud the studio for not releasing a PG13 friendly version that they thought about doing earlier this year. Director Tom Hooper, who took home the Best Director prize also directed the excellent HBO miniseries John Adams, so this should be entertaining. I searched Amazon quite thoroughly and could not find much more for my liking this week. Take it for a spin.
R.I.P. to screenwriter Kevin Jarre. You may not know his name but he did a few good films and got really screwed out of one of the best screenplays ever, Tombstone. More on that to come...
