One of the biggest and best action franchises finally makes its blu ray debut. This set came out months ago in the UK but Mel Gibson continues to open his mouth and inserting his foot in it which is too bad. The guy is a really good actor and director but has pretty buried his career. I always figured a fifth Lethal Weapon would always be in the works as a comeback vehicle for him but it seems even Warner Brothers does not want much to do with Mel anymore. The only Lethal Weapon talk going around lately is rebooting the franchise. Anyway this set contains brand new masters on all four films but only has the theater cuts the ones director Richard Donner prefers. I have been use to watching the studio extended cuts for the last twelve years with some nice bonus scenes so it will be hard readjusting to the old cuts. Great action movies, especially part two so enjoy. Highly recommended. "I'm getting too old for this sh*t!"
I have been reading about this movie for years and with producer George Lucas throwing his weight and money around good things were expected. The movie was pushed back repeatedly and finally debuted and did not perform well critically or financially. I have always had an interest in the Tuskegee Airmen from my junior year in high school where we had a teacher that taught the story so I will be picking up a rental on this in the future.
The Rangers finally had to use the disabled list by placing fifth starter Neftali Feliz because of elbow discomfort. He is expected to be shut down for six weeks or longer. Spot starter Scooter Feldmen will step in the rotation and leave a big hole in the bullpen. Let the Roy Oswalt rumors commence now.
