We are going thru tornado season here in Texas right now but so far all is good here. I am still fighting the battle from home and may keep that up for awhile longer. I still get out and cruise Wal Marts and Targets for physical media and there is not much out there. Both stores have reduced what they carry and Target is getting so bad I am not sure why I keep going there. There is an actual new release this week and some oldies, let's check them out:
The Little Things- Kern
County Deputy Sheriff Joe Deacon is sent to Los Angeles for what should have
been a quick evidence-gathering assignment. Instead, he becomes embroiled in
the search for a serial killer who is terrorizing the city. I missed this on HBO Max when it was out and
I regret that because this was a good looking serial killer movie with a great
cast.
Hellfighters- The
adventures of oil well fire specialist Chance Buckman (based on real-life Red
Adair), who extinguishes massive fires in oil fields around the world. This is not the best Dule Wayne movie but he
was trying something different here besides a cowboy or a cop and it is not too
bad.
Cool As Ice- A rapper
gets stuck in a small town and falls for a local girl whose family is in
witness protection. Man, I loved Vanilla
Ice back in 1991. I had all sorts of different
versions of Ice Ice Baby on cassette tape.
I never saw this and the 2.9 IMDB rating is the lowest I think I have
seen for a studio movie. I am still passing
on this one but may have to see if I still have those cassettes. Uh, what I am going to play them on?
Scars of War Set- A nice
looking set of descent war movies. Alamo
Bay alone goes for $30 and this set is $15 so this is quite a bargain.
