Summer Camp Sunday

Oh it's time to go check into summer camp even thought it's not summer but it is horror season.  Let's see what camps I checked out:

A young woman grieving the loss of her mother, a famous scream queen from the 1980s, finds herself pulled into the world of her mom's most famous movie at a summer camp. Reunited, the women must fight off the film's maniacal killer.  This is a fun movie that got overlooked back in the day.  Check it out!

Abusive former summer camp caretaker Cropsy, horribly burned from a prank gone wrong five years earlier, lurks around upstate NY summer Camp Stonewater with garden shears and bent on killing the teenagers responsible for his disfigurement.  In 1981 there like 300 horror movies released (I exaggerate a bit) and this is one of the better ones from that year. Fantastic make-up effects from the legend or you may know him as sex machine Tom Savini.

Bunks and showers are a mad stabber's beat at a summer camp strictly for teens.  Let's face it, this movie is more known for its ending more than anything but it is still a kick in the shorts.

A group of teenage camp counselors attempt to re-open an abandoned summer camp with a tragic past, but they are stalked by a mysterious, relentless killer.  All the movies above were made because this classic started it all.  It's also the reason there were like 300 horror movies released in 1981.
