Dismember the Alamo

Big Mike and I got another Dismember the Alamo in the books as we spent all day and part of the night at the best movie theater chain in the world.  We had five movies scheduled and we had some hints pictured with a TV set so I immediately I thought of Videodrome and Terror Vision.  I have not seen either of those as they still sit on the blu ray shelf collecting dust.  We had quite a fun day as neither of us had seen any of the five movies that played that day, they included in order:

I called two of the five beforehand which I had been 0 for 8 at the previous two outings so not bad on my part.  See you next year!

New Release Tuesday

Arthur Bishop thought he had put his murderous past behind him when his most formidable foe kidnaps the love of his life. Now he is forced to travel the globe to complete three impossible assassinations, and do what he does best, make them look like accidents.  Man, it’s been too long since Statham has had a movie out so I really looking forward to spinning this Thanksgiving night.

A divorced father and his ex-con older brother resort to a desperate scheme in order to save their family's ranch in West Texas.  In my opinion this is the best movie of the year so far and as usual Jeff Bridges just make any movie better and Ben Foster is just as awesome in this too.  This is a fantastic modern day bank robber movie that is set in West Texas with great performances by all involved.  Highly recommended.

A fearless Secret Service agent will stop at nothing to bring down the counterfeiter who killed his partner.  This is an action classic with one of the best car chases put on film and it just so happens to be directed by William Friedkin who also directed the French Connection which is known for a pretty good car chase as well.  This has been on blu before from MGM but Shout Factory has re-released this in a snappy, new special edition so I am sure it will look and sound great and be packed with special features.  Also, highly recommended.

The legendary Roberto Duran and his equally legendary trainer Ray Arcel change each others lives.  This looks interesting as I remember watching this guy in his prime when I was a kid and remember when we all found out what “No mas” means.
