This is a documentary on the fabled recording studio that was located in Van Nuys, California. It is directed by the Foo Figthers' Dave Grohl and I have read a lot of good things about this project and it sneaked up on my this week as I totally missed in this weeks new releases. I look forward to checking this out not just because of Grohl's involvement but there is quite an impressive list of musicians involved here: Sir Paul McCartney, Trent Reznor, Barry Manilow, producer Butch Vig, practically all members of the Foo Fighters, Tom Petty and and the Heartbreakers, Fleetwood Mac, and many more. Enjoy watching the way music used to be made.
