New Release Tuesday

The year’s, I am mean the biggest animated movie ever comes to Blu with this thing still in the top ten according to last week’s box office receipts.  I  cannot get away from this song as this thing was even playing at the gym the other night.

Great looking comedy from director David O.Russell with an outstanding cast too.  I cannot wait to check this out.

Scream Factory brings us the 1982 cult classic which was a rip off of every horror movie out around then and that is ok.

I am not sure what is up with Cartoon Network but they have abandoned three really good DC shows with this, Young Justice, and apparently Beware the Batman now.  I have a feeling Warner Brothers wants to get rid of the Hal Jordan Green Lantern in all forms and have the Rock come on board as the John Stewart Green Lantern in the near future.  This is a good show and nice to have it all in one season from Warner Archive.

Author P.L. Travers reflects on her childhood after reluctantly meeting with Walt Disney, who seeks to adapt her Mary Poppins books for the big screen.  Meh.

Twilight brings us this Sam Peckinpah classic on blu ray for the first time and it is about an American bartender and his prostitute girlfriend go on a road trip through the Mexican underworld to collect a $1 million bounty on the head of a dead gigolo.  I just watched this for the first time recently and really enjoyed it and I must say Warren Oates was fantastic in it.  This is limited to 3000 so get your fast.  http://www1.screenarchives.com/display_results.cfm
