A secret
government agency recruits some of the most dangerous incarcerated
super-villains to form a defensive task force. Their first mission: save the
world from the apocalypse. You must
admit DC has better villains compared to Marvel. Again, like Batman vs Superman the reactions
to this movie were mixed but this one scored a lot of money at the box office
so overall is considered a success and we will see how this extended cut plays. Went with the Target Digi book on this release.
During their
Christmas break, a group of sorority girls are stalked by a stranger. This is a horror classic. Did it start the Christmas horror genre? Anyway, the late great director Bob Clark
(Porky’s, A Christmas Story) gave us this creepy horror movie and taught us,
the audience, the killer first person view.
I bet director John Carpenter took some notes from this and used them
in Halloween and that’s okay because it is very affective. Do yourself a favor and go watch this and
then watch the 2006 remake because it is pretty good too. This is from Scream Factory so it will look
and sound great and should be loaded with great special features.
A young psychic is recruited by a government agency experimenting with
the use of the dream-sharing technology and is given the inverse task of
planting an idea into the mind of the U.S. president. I love this movie and thought it was awesome
growing up. I first caught this on VHS
and apparently, there is a nude scene missing from this movie when it debuted
on DVD so let’s see if Scream Factory has solved the cased on this mystery. I surprisingly do not remember if there was
such a scene or not as that seems something my teenage self would have watched
over and over. Look for Norm from Cheers
on here and beware of the Snakeman.
An artist slowly
goes insane while struggling to pay his bills, work on his paintings, and care
for his two female roommates, which leads him taking to the streets of New York
after dark and randomly killing derelicts with a power drill. This is a cult classic that desperately
needed an upgrade. I have only seen this
on one of those $5 multiple DVDs that has three other movies on it and it
looked horrible and was missing the last minute or so of the movie as there was
still audio but only a red screen, then credits. This is an Arrow Video so the audio and video
presentation should be spectacular on this new U.S. release.
I am really on the fence on this release because most streaming services are always missing a season of this never having the entire series to offer. Still thinking...
