A mysterious
stranger and a random act of violence drag a town of misfits and nitwits into
the bloody crosshairs of revenge. I like
director Ti West’s work a lot as House of the Devil and The Innkeepers are
great horror movies so it is nice to see him change up the pace and do a
Western so he does not get stuck with the tag of the “Slow burn horror guy”. I am really looking forward to giving this a
spin as soon as I get a copy of it.
The NSA's illegal
surveillance techniques are leaked to the public by one of the agency's employee,
Edward Snowden, in the form of thousands of classified documents distributed to
the press. I have not seen an Oliver
Stone movie in a while and I am compelled with the subject matter here but will
take it with a grain of salt as Mr. Stone seems to distort the facts in his
recent films.
A crew of ex-cons
are hired by a Cleveland mafioso to kidnap the baby of a rival mobster. The two leads here make this flick a kind of a
want to watch as Cage and Dafoe can go way over the top and if they are in a
room together that might make some good drama.
