The Greatest Showman- Celebrates the birth of show business and tells of a
visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide
sensation. Yeah, it is a musical but Wolverine
is in it so I will give it a spin.
Everyone else in the house caught this at the theater and liked it a lot
so we will watch this during the weekend.
Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay- Task Force X targets a powerful
mystical object that they will risk their lives to steal. I enjoy most of the WB animated movies
especially if they are bat related but I will give this Squad a spin. Scored the steelbook at Target.
Phantom Thread- Set in 1950's London, Reynolds Woodcock is a renowned
dressmaker whose fastidious life is disrupted by a young, strong-willed woman,
Alma, who becomes his muse and lover. I
must admit I have not seen much of PTA’s work but I loved Boogie Nights and There
Will be Blood. I have read this is the
scariest movie released last year so now I am intrigued. Is Daniel Day Lewis really retired?
Molly’s Game- The true story of Molly Bloom, an Olympic-class skier who
ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game and became an FBI target. This is a good-looking drama and Chastain is solid
in anything she does. I would like to
watch this just to see how they portray some of the candy ass actors she held
games for, yep looking at you Toby Maguire.
Braven- A logger defends his family from a group of dangerous drug
runners. I have been a Momoa fan since
his Conan movie. That movie was unnecessary
and ok but he was very good in it and his casting as Aquaman was a nice move
and it certainly made the stump of all Super Friends jokes a badass. He was one
of the great parts of JL and I look forward to this and his solo Aquaman flick.
All the Money in the World- The story of the
kidnapping of 16-year-old Jean Paul Getty III and the desperate attempt by his
devoted mother to convince his billionaire grandfather Jean Paul Getty to pay
the ransom. A movie about a billionaire dirt bag played by a well known dirt bag in Hollywood that gets replaced by the great Christopher Plummer so now it is worth watching.
