New Release Tuesdays

Creed II- Under the tutelage of Rocky Balboa, heavyweight contender Adonis Creed faces off against Viktor Drago, son of Ivan Drago.  This is a good follow-up to the first but Stallone had his screen time cut quite a bit in this one and announced awhile back he is done with the character.  It is great to see Dolph Lundgren return and the way the film handles his relationship with his son is pretty cool and you can almost see the studio could make another spin-off of Drago movies but that scenario is probably a little farfetched.  Michael B. Jordan is on a roll so watch out for this guy.

Standoff at Sparrow Creek- A former cop-turned-militia man investigates a shooting at a police funeral. This is a good looking drama from the local Cinestate studio so will be spinning this as soon as Amazon brings it.

Kalifornia- A journalist duo go on a tour of serial killer murder sites with two companions, unaware that one of them is a serial killer himself.  I have not seen this in a long time because I have been waiting for a blu release on this and Shout Factory finally came through for me.  This is a great flick with a bunch of up and coming actors at the time.

Ralph Breaks the Internet- Six years after the events of "Wreck-It Ralph," Ralph and Vanellope, now friends, discover a wi-fi router in their arcade, leading them into a new adventure. This was a good follow-up to the first one and it has some great cameos in it.

Used Cars- When the owner of a struggling used car lot is killed, it's up to the lot's hot-shot salesman to save the property from falling into the hands of the owner's ruthless brother and used-car rival.  I must admit I have never seen this and there is a DVD that has been collecting dust at home.  Someday.

Willard- A young man with an unusual connection to rats uses them at his own sociopathic will.  This is a great flick and the late, great R. Lee Ermey makes it even better.

Invasion of the Blood Farmers- Somewhere in upstate New York, a young woman is terrorized by a group of rural farmers primarily interested in a harvest of blood. I am not even sure if this is a cult title or not but it is one I have atleast heard of.
