New Release Tuesday

The Darkest Hour- During the early days of World War II, the fate of Western Europe hangs on the newly-appointed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who must decide whether to negotiate with Adolf Hitler, or fight on against incredible odds.  I think this and Dunkirk would make a fabulous double feature.  My money is on Gary Oldman to win the gold this year because I can sit around and watch that guy read the phone book.

Murder on the Orient Express- When a murder occurs on the train he's travelling on, celebrated detective Hercule Poirot is recruited to solve the case.  I missed this but I am intrigued and as it look cool and I cannot wait to give it a spin soon.

Basket Case- A young man carrying a big basket that contains his extremely deformed Siamese-twin brother seeks vengeance on the doctors who separated them against their will.  This is a bona fide cult classic and I read that it is worth the upgrade from the old blu release to this fine new Arrow presentation.

78/52 Hitchock’s Shower Scene- An unprecedented look at the iconic shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960), the "man behind the curtain", and the screen murder that profoundly changed the course of world cinema. I am always drawn to anything dealing with Hitchcock especially if it pertains to Psycho.

The Soldier- Terrorists take over a plutonium bomb and threaten to detonate it in a Saudi Arabian oil field. A special anti-terrorist unit is sent in to stop them.  I remember this being a cool action flick as a kid and I also remember when the TV show the Fall Guy used the ski gondola explosion clip for the show.
