I am nowhere near compiling my favorite films of 2011 because I have barely seen them all but I can give you a glimpse of things I am looking forward to in 2012.
I am really liking action man Liam Neeson. Taken, The underrated A-Team, and Unknown have reinvented this guy. Liam vs. a pack of wolves? Bring it on.
I remember studying about the Tuskegee air men in high school and thought it was a really interesting story. George Lucas is involved here so hopefully the screenplay is solid since we know the special effects will be good.
This should be a nice little horror pic from writer Joss Whedon (The Avengers) and stars Thor's Chris Hemsworth. Five friends go out to a cabin in the woods and bad things happen.
Bullet to the Head-Sly gives us 2 flicks this year and we will get to the other one later. Stallone stars as a hitman who joins up with a cop to take out their enemy together.
Ridley Scott returns to the franchise he created with this Alien prequel.
Director Quentin Tarantino returns with a story about a slave turned bounty hunter(Jamie Foxx) that sets out to go get his wife back from the bad plantation owner. (Leo Decaprio) Will Smith is a fool but he is a big fool for passing on this role.
Finally, we get Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, and everybody else in the biggest superhero movie yet.
Based on the popular book from a few years ago. I can't wait to see Abe kickin' Vampire butt!
Stars Brad Pitt as a reporter who interviews people after the great Zombie War. Send more cops!
Spidey gets the reboot as Raimi and Maguire were getting to expensive so what to do? Start over. Should be in good hands with director Marc Webb (5oo Days of Summer) and it stars the great Emma Stone!
Director Chris Nolan and star Christian Bale return one last time to finish this Batman trilogy with Bane and Catwoman taking on the hero. I see Ryan Gosling stepping in this role next.
Sly and the whole team return along with Chuck Norris and Van Damme and run into a bunch of mayhem!
Bond is back. That is all we need to know.
Steven Spielberg's Lincoln- Daniel Day Lewis stars as the famous president. This should be a lot better than 'Our American Cousin'.
I have really tried to get into these movies so hopefully this prequel by Peter Jackson will entice me.
Enjoy!
