FX just keeps churning out good shows and this is one of my faves. Timothy Olyphant plays Marshal Raylan Givens and he was demoted back to his home state of Kentucky and has to deal not only with the local law breakers but also his family and old acquaintances. Season 1 was more action oriented and this season shifted some dramatically as Raylan took up a relationship with his ex-wife to spice things up. A new crime family led by the great Margo Martindale enters the picture this season and causes Raylan a whole lot of trouble. Highly recommended. Season 3 starts January 17.
Director Guillermo Del Tor produces this TV remake from the 70s. I remember the original starred Kim Darby (True Grit '69) and was not all that great but further research shows Del Toro watched this as a kid and loved it and has been trying to get this made for awhile. Since Del Toro is involved then it has to be pretty good especially the creature effects involved.
TV watching is getting caught up with AMC's Hell on Wheels and watching Archer season 2 to be ready for season 3 on January 19.
Quiet on the Ranger front right now but word is Yu is in town checking out sushi joints. This will heat up soon.
