Michael is Waiting...

New Release Tuesday

Set in a future where a failed climate-change experiment kills all life on the planet except for a lucky few who boarded the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe, where a class system emerges.  This is a good looking post apocalyptic action flick.

After receiving a bizarre series of encrypted messages, a group of kids embark on an adventure with an alien who needs their help.  This has an ice E.T. vibe to it so will check it out with the kiddies some time.

A young couple works to survive on the streets after their car breaks down right as the annual purge commences.  The first one was not bad and it looks like they are going all Saw with us on these as a third one is already in the works for next year.  These first two have been cheap and quick and have made some nice money.

This is billed as a comedy yet neither of these people are funny.  Pass.

You cannot go wrong with deformed, cannibal hillbillies. I need to watch parts 4 and 5 of this so I can get caught up.

Movie Poster Thursday- Phantasm

New Release Tuesday

This was Fox’s chance to do their own Avenger’s movie and Days of Future Past presented the best story to combine the old cast and the new cast in one movie.  This was great and it was nice to get Bryan Singer back behind the camera for this one.  Highly recommended.  Score the steelbook at Target.

This is a Western retelling the tale of the Shoot-out at the OK Corral directed by the great John Ford and starring Henry Ford as Wyatt Warp.  This is a Criterion release so it will look and sound great and will be filled with many goodies.  I will be picking this up at B&N’s Criterion sale next month or rumor is Costco has this title in stock for $20.

FX has some of the best shows on TV right now.  I just had too many shows on my plate when this aired so I am glad this has a good price point on it since I missed it.  It has a great cast with Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, and Kate Walsh.

I have been looking for this on DVD for some time now so I am glad this bowling comedy is getting a blu ray release.  Randy Quiad and Bill Murray are awesome in this flick.  You can score this for $10 at Wal Mart.

This is a nice multi film pack with all of Van Damme’s best flicks.  This looks to be a kickin’ good time.

This is a nice looking set but half of these are already out and I own them.  The jewels here are 1941 and Duel which are new to blu ray but it is the only way you can get them right now.  Get the set or wait for these to come out individually?  Damn you Universal!  Were gonna need a bigger boat.

This is a great show and these specials are really good and these DVDs include a lot of special features.  Expect Aquaman to continue to keep catching crap.

This is a nice two pack of Chuck classics for a low price.  This looks to be a kickin’ good time too.  Chuck's gonna give you so many rights you will be begging for a left.
