Movie Poster Tuesday- Tak3n

New Release Tuesday

Another big budget movie that everyone hates on but it made like a trillion bucks at the box office so deep down everyone loves it.  I enjoy these and was glad to see Marky Mark get on board this franchise.  Time to transform and roll out!

A chef who loses his restaurant job starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family.  This blu ray comes with free tacos.

It sure was great getting Jack back for even a half season this past summer as Jack Bauer comes out of hiding in London to head off a massive terrorist attack while being hunted down by American forces dispatched by the President.
This was a great show while it was on Cartoon Network as part of their DC Nation programming but the network abandoned it during the middle of its run and never went back to it.  I am thankful to get the remaining episodes of this incarnation of Batman.

I love all the complete horror sets coming out this year as it makes for lots of scary movie watching this fall.  I tried to watch part of the first one a long time ago but gave up midway on this junk.  Bad, really bad.  I am not sure how they made three more and a remake of this silly franchise.  I am also shocked this is not the cover:

Fall is Here!

I absolutely love this time of the year.  The weather starts to cool off a bit, college football, horror movies, and Mrs. Gauntlet tops it off by decorating the house with all of her Halloween antiques.
And don't forget candy corn:

And Pumpkin beer:
And did I mention horror movies?

And you run into scary people at Target!

Old Navy Provides Some Horror Tees

The t-shirt is standard uniform at my work place so getting unique shirts is a must.  Cool comic, movie, or sports shirts are common place but since it is fall and Horrorweenathon time I would like to start getting some horror related shirts.  Now there are some nice sites with shirts out there and I will pimp one of those at a later time but Old Navy is helping us horror hounds out this season.  Check these out at your local store:

New Release Tuesday

Finally, one whole set of my favorite horror franchise.  Scream Factory has teamed with Anchor Bay to bring us the first ever complete collection of Halloween.  It starts with John Carpenter’s Halloween and goes thru Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 and is stacked with special features out the kazoo and even includes the producer’s cut of Halloween 6 which has only been available on bootleg DVD until now.  Yeah, it’s expensive but it may be the only time we get a complete collection as video rights for parts of the franchise are all over the place so I am really glad to finally have it.  Come on Amazon!

Another one of my favorite horror franchises get some love this week as Warner Brothers releases The Exorcist: The Complete Anthology as parts 2 and 3 are making their blu debut.  The first is a classic, the second is a turd, and the third one was quite good and I never saw the fourth in the series or the director’s cut if it either.  It is nice to see all of these in one pack now.

Another complete collection of a horror franchise and I have only seen the first two parts of.  There sure seems to be much love for this newer franchise but I never could get on board with it.

Um, no thanks.

I will take this one instead!

New Release Tuesday

It’s about time we got a new American Godzilla movie to make up for that ’98 turd.  The response to this movie has mostly been positive so I cannot wait to check out the destruction.

I really need to check out his show and I am not even sure I get the WB or CW, whatever it is.  I am also on board for checking out the new Flash when it debuts soon.

This is another movie that I have bought countless times and I will get this newer, more restored version too.  This horror classic is 40 now, just like me, and I love this movie.  My dad snuck me in to the drive inn to see this Texas classic because we could not find it on VHS at the time.  The movie was shot like a documentary so it’s grainy and I hope this version keeps that look and feel to it.  The highest of recommendations.

This is the best Christmas horror pic out there.  I am surprised they did not hold on to this release a little sooner to December but hey, it’s that time of year for horror movies.

The personalities of two former baseball players clash as they traverse the rural back roads of a post-plague New England teeming with the undead.  I have been hearing good things about this Scream Factory release.

This was Roger Corman’s attempt at cashing in on Irwin Allen’s disaster flicks like The Towering Inferno and The Poseidon Adventure.   Looks like fun and it has Rock Hudson chasing babes in it so it features some of his best acting ever.

In Victorian England, a master criminal makes elaborate plans to steal a shipment of gold from a moving train.  I have never seen this but I miss Sean Connery so much that I consider titles like this new so I can check them out.
