New Release Tuesdays

Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - Doctor Strange teams up with a mysterious teenage girl from his dreams who can travel across multiverses, to battle multiple threats, including other-universe versions of himself, which threaten to wipe out millions across the multiverse. They seek help from Wanda the Scarlet Witch, Wong and others.  Marvel fans are split on this movie.  I for one loved it as director Sam Raimi tricked Disney into letting him make Marvel’s first horror movie or as I call it Evil Dead 4.  I can’t wait to watch Evil Dead 1,2 and Army of Darkness and cap it off with this Halloween season.

A Force of One - When the detectives of an undercover police unit are being mysteriously killed by a martial artist, a professional kickboxer is hired to assist them.  A couple of more of Chuck’s first movies are finally coming out to blu.  I have not seen this since I saw it on VHF tv.  It’s been a long time and as soon as Amazon gets this back in stock we will give it a spin.

Good Guys Wear Black - An ex-US Army commando must find the reason why his comrades from his unit are being systematically murdered before he is next.  I remember this being the better of these two movies and you get to see his classic kick into the car windshield here first before using it again later on Walker, Texas Ranger.

Green Lantern: Beware My Power - Recently discharged Marine sniper John Stewart is at a crossroads in his life, one which is only complicated by receiving an extraterrestrial ring which grants him the powers of the Green Lantern of Earth.  I used to get all the DC animated release but have not picked up the couple.  I will probably still get Batman releases but maybe not so many in the future.

White Elephant - An ex-marine enforcer must battle his conscience and code of honor when he is forced to do things for the mob.  Here is another of Bruno’s last movies.  There’s still some more after this one so enjoy the Bruno retirement movies.

Black Phone- After being abducted by a child killer and locked in a soundproof basement, a 13-year-old boy starts receiving calls on a disconnected phone from the killer's previous victims.  I read this is a great horror title but no one here at my household wants to see it , besides me, because of that scary mask.  I am gonna check this out on Peacock before deciding on a purchase.

Jurassic World: Dominion- Four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar, Biosyn operatives attempt to track down Maisie Lockwood, while Dr Ellie Sattler investigates a genetically engineered swarm of giant insects.  This was an absolute turd.  One of the few movies where I was in the theater and was ready to leave or take a nap.

Remember the long lost era of sharing your feelings with someone through a mix tape? Through a series of conversations, we'll analyze why this ritual of communication through music still continues to be so important to this day.  I am into vinyl now but do remember loving me some cassettes.
