Sly's action masterpiece!

I have been looking forward to this movie for sometime now. It was originally going to be released in April but with all of the hype surrounding it Lionsgate decided to make it a big summer movie. Kudos to them and the move has payed off big time to the tune of over $300 million worldwide and still counting. I am glad Sly has taken over his career getting back to writing and directing his own movies ala Clint Eastwood. The back-end of his career will look much better when it is all said and done. This flick is no holds barred and is a throw back to the 80s action movie era. It may also contain the greatest two minutes of film anyone has ever laid eyes on when Sly, Bruce, and Arnold share the screen together. What a great scene and some catchy writing too. Dolph Lundgren and the automatic shotgun were the standouts in the movie. With the success of 'The Expendables' there is already talk of a sequel of course and Sly is ready to go as he has been tweeting about it alot. Maybe Arnold will have an expanded role since his term is about up. What other actor has ever had 3 franchises on their resume?

The Expendables on blu ray and dvd November 23.

Did you know? Sly lost the 1976 Screenplay Oscar to some spare named Paddy Chayefsky.

The Rangers are in the playoffs! First time since 1999! They deserve their own post for this. The Cowboys have started the season 1-2 so far. They think they are ready for the Super Bowl?

Network TV looks awful this season. The only new show I have any interest in is the Tom Selleck CBS show Blue Bloods. Not much else captures my imagination. I can get caught up on all those old shows I have been meaning to watch. Enjoying True Blood season 2 so far.
