New Release Tuesday
This set has 15 of Hitchcock's classics including Psycho, The Birds, Rear Window, Vertigo, and one I am looking forward to Marnie. This is film school in a box right here. Trying to decide between this and the UK set, there is quite a price difference.
I like Will Farrell alot but I am not so big on Zach whatever his name is. That scene of the baby getting punched sold me on this.
This horror classic gets the Criterion treatment so this should look great and have tons of extra stuff. Mia Farrow and her husband move into a new apartment and it just happens to be next door to the devil and his wife the late, great Ruth Gordon. Creepy movie and features a fantastic hair do by Mia. "It's Vidal Sassoon."
The best sitcom ever comes out in one box now. Too bad I already have all the seasons that I want, the show was not near as good after Mike and Gloria moved. "Stifle yourself!"

New Release Tuesday
Harry has been busy with work projects, travel, college football, softball, wife, kids, workouts, laziness, and reunions. Here is my attempt to catch up:
Such a cool concept from a good book but this did not translate to a good movie It was slightly entertaining to see Abe go all "four score and seven years ago" on some vampires. Too bad. Maybe Honest Abe can come back and fight Werewolves someday.
Oh the memories. Dolph Lundgen stars as He-Man in this classic cheeseball action fantasy movie. I would like to see a new spin on this sometime.
This is probably my favorite release of the year as all the classic Universal Monsters come out on blu for the first time in one set. Can't wait to see Frankenstein and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. I have not got this yet as I am still trying to decide on this or the UK version. Decisions, decisions.
This has always been one of my favorite Stephen King movies and for some reason I have never picked this up before until now. That cat still creeps me out. This blu has great picture and sound quality with some nice special features. Really nice work by the late, great Fred Gwynne.
I missed this in the theater and I have tried not to read much about this Alien prequel that sees director Ridley Scott return to the franchise he started.
An Alien visits Earth and eats a bunch of people. A must see.
Russians invade a small town and apparently that conquers the whole nation. A group of young rebels or Wolverines fight back and conquer the Red Curtain. Stars the late, great Patrick Swayze and is directed by the great John Milius.
Not even John Cusack can save this turkey. Not even all the nods to Poe's poetry and the fact the script lets you know they are in Baltimore.

American Horror Story Asylum
I really liked FX's first season of this series and I liked last night's premiere even more. We had a little bit of everything from Aliens, The Exorcist, Silence of the Lambs, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre so give it a watch. If you missed the first season don't worry about it, Asylum is a brand new story unrelated to the first.

Halloween 35th Anniversary Showings
My favorite horror movie will be shown on the big screen for its 35th anniversary. I cannot wait for this as I have not had the pleasure of seeing this on the big screen until now. Visit here to see if it is in your area: http://www.screenvision.com/cinema-events/halloween/
