New Release Tuesday

A teenager teams up with the daughter of young adult horror author R. L. Stine after the writer's imaginary demons are set free on the town of Madison, Delaware.  I have never seen the shows or read the books but I might check this out with the little people in the house.

Bradly Cooper plays a chef who destroyed his career with drugs and diva behavior. He cleans up and returns to London, determined to redeem himself by spearheading a top restaurant that can gain three Michelin stars.  Is this on Food Network soon?

A small-town crime boss accepts delivery of a stolen car, only to find there's a baby in the back-seat. He and his transvestite "wife" cut out the boy's tongue and raise him as a mute accomplice in their crimes. When the grown "Sonny Boy" escapes and tries to make contact with the outside world, the attention he draws to his warped family results in darkly-humored mayhem.  This is from Shout Factory and looks like a cool movie, warped movie.

Sorry, I am going to have to boycott this movie because it was not nominated.  For anything, anywhere.

New Release Tuesday

A climbing expedition on Mt. Everest is devastated by a severe snow storm.  This is based on a true story and I actually met Beck Weathers not too long after all this happened and sold him a computer.  I bet this was great on the big screen but the house big screen will have to do for this thriller.

In the far future water is the most valuable substance. Two space pirates are captured, sold to a princess, and recruited to help her find her father who disappeared when he found information dangerous to the rulers. A real Space Opera with sword fights, explosions, fighting robots, monsters, bar fights and time warps.  It’s about time this classic got a blu ray release!

This is a documentary that explores the rise and fall of Tower Records, and its legacy forged by its rebellious founder, Russ Solomon.  I see one Dave Grohl is listed in the cast so it’s a must watch.

The group NWA emerges from the mean streets of Compton in Los Angeles, California, in the mid-1980s and revolutionizes Hip Hop culture with their music and tales about life in the hood.

Wow, Marvel sure pumped out the next THOR movie fast.
