New Release Tuesday

The Fate of the Furious- When a mysterious woman seduces Dom into the world of terrorism and a betrayal of those closest to him, the crew face trials that will test them as never before. These are fun movies but if The Rock and The Statham were not in these I do not think I would be as interested because Vin puts me to sleep.

Smokey and the Bandit- The Bandit is hired on to run a tractor trailer full of beer over county lines in hot pursuit by a pesky sheriff.  One of the greatest movies of all time turns 40 this year.  I have bought this movie more than I care to mention but this does have the documentary ‘The Bandit’ which was exclusive to CMT on the blu ray so it is worth the upgrade for that alone.  Fact- Alfred Hitchcock loved this movie and had a personal copy of it at his Universal office.

Hunting Party- A ruthless rancher, and his gang, use extremely long-range rifles to kill the men who kidnapped his infidel wife.  It’s got 70s Gene Hackman so what’s not to like?

Species- A group of scientists try to track down and trap a killer alien seductress before she successfully mates with a human. This is a great sci-fi flick and I always thought Michael Madsen was awesome in this as the action who shoots first and then listens to the scientist.  This is from Scream Factory so it will look and sound great and will be filled with extra goodies.

Star Slammer- Two women who have been unjustly confined to a prison planet plot their escape, all the while having to put up with lesbian guards, crazed wardens and mutant rodents. With a name like that, why not check it out?  The gun in her right hand sure looks like a Stormtrooper blaster.
