New Release Tuesdays

Brightburn- What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?  The studio cannot say this but this is basically what if Superman turned evil as a youngster.  I like that kind of scenario and it is a pretty good horror flick.  Check it out.

A Dog's Journey- A dog finds the meaning of his own existence through the lives of the humans he meets.  Do you wan to see me cry again?  I barely got thru the first one and they go and put out another one, I will respectfully decline on this one.  I love dogs too much.

The Walking Dead Season 9- When Rick Grimes left the show I left too.

Cruising- A police detective goes undercover in the underground S&M gay subculture of New York City to catch a serial killer who is preying on gay men. I have never seen this but I remember seeing the VHS box and think it was Stallone on the cover.  This has been out of print for a long time so this will be highly received.

Horror of Frankenstein- Scientist Victor Frankenstein builds a man from spare body parts; the monster comes alive and wreaks havoc. One of the Hammer greats that I must get.

The Biggest Little Farm- Documentarian John Chester and his wife Molly work to develop a sustainable farm on 200 acres outside of Los Angeles.  This is one great movie and it makes me want to pack up and move to the country.  Check it out and remember they did all of that for a dog.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters- The crypto-zoological agency Monarch faces off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah.  I liked this sequel much better than the first one because it had more fighting in it.  I cannot wait to get Godzilla vs Kong.

Apocalypse Now- A U.S. Army officer serving in Vietnam is tasked with assassinating a renegade Special Forces Colonel who sees himself as a god.  I bought this again because it is another cut and it does have all other cuts, special features, and the great doc Hearts of Darkness.  This should be the definitive release so I should not have to buy this ever again.

The Banana Splits Movie- A nice little horror comedy based on the show.  It’s is worth a spin just for the nostalgia.

Men in Black: International- The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe. In this new adventure, they tackle their biggest threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization.  This sounded like a bad idea when I first heard of it and I was right.  Psst studios, get some original ideas.  Do not be afraid.

Nightmare Cinema- Five strangers converge at a haunted movie theater owned by The Projectionist. Once inside, the audience members witness a series of screenings showing them their deepest fears and darkest secrets over five tales.  A nice little Anthology from some great horror directors.  Highly recommended.

John Wick 3: Oarabellum- Super-assassin John Wick is on the run after killing a member of the international assassin's guild, and with a $14 million price tag on his head - he is the target of hit men and women everywhere.  The first two kicked ass and it seem like this one does too. Scored the steelbook from Target and stayed away from the restrooms there.

The Dead Don’t Die- The peaceful town of Centerville finds itself battling a zombie horde as the dead start rising from their graves.  I was really looking forward to this one but reviews have not been kind to this one as it seem to repeat some things from Shaun of the Dead or Zombieland.  I will still check it out though.
