Holy New Release Tuesday Batman!

This series, known as Batman ’66 these days, has been one of the most demanded titles since the birth of DVD.  There is a quite a bit of a back story here about the struggles of getting this released and I advise you to read it here at Wired.com: http://www.wired.com/2014/11/batman-home-video-finally/.
This show was my first exposure to the Batman character as it was too many at the time.  I loved watching this in syndication as it was usually back to back episodes so you got the continuation of the prior cliffhanger episode.  Yes, the show is campy because it was supposed to be and Adam west nails it as this type of Batman.  The show had a great cast of villains with Caesar Romero as The Joker, Burgess Meredith as The Penguin, Julie Newmar and Eartha Kitt as Catwoman, Eli Wallach as Mr. Freeze, Vincent Price as Egghead, Frank Gorshin as the Riddler, and many, many more.  We even get Bruce Lee as Kato!
This show was shot on film so it is scanned in HD and looks awesome with all the great colors really popping here.  It is cleaned up just enough so it maintains that look from a 60s show and sports the original mono in 1.0 Dolby Digital sound.  This is packed with tons of special features and it leaves a little to be desired but I cannot complain since we finally have it and you get you own Batmobile!  The highest of recommendations.

A film by Clint Eastwood about the story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons.  Did I mention this is by Clint Eastwood?  A required purchase.

The Pythons redo their old sketches in their last show ever.  This looks too good to pass up.

A local public station gets a new owner. The station becomes a hit, with all sorts of hilarious sight gags and wacky humor.  This was an unappreciated gem when it was released and it is very welcomed on blu ray for the first time.  If you have not seen this think along the lines of The Kentucky Fried Movie, very funny and you get some glimpses of Cosmo Kramer in it.

A group of people are trapped in a large movie theater in West Berlin that is infected by ravenous demons who proceed to kill and posses the humans one-by-one, thereby multiplying their numbers.  I saw this Italian horror classic on VHS after its 1985 release and loved every minute of it.

Two streetwise cops bust criminals in their red-and-white Ford Torino with the help of police snitch called Huggy Bear.  This was one of the first TV shows I remember from night time TV and man I loved that car.  It is nice to see this in a complete set now.
