New Release Tuesday

A special bond develops between plus-sized inflatable robot Baymax, and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes.  This is a Disney, Pixar, Marvel mash up from the mind of Stan Lee and is a great animated flick.  I got lucky and scored the steel book at Target.

A promising young drummer enrolls at a cut-throat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realize a student's potential.  A good looking drama and JK Simmons took home the gold for his portrayal of the instructor.

This was such a good show and I believe it ran just the right amount of time and had a very fitting end.  I look forward to sitting down in the future and reexamining this motor cycle gang drama.

A secret fling between a man and his mistress leads to blackmail and murder.  This is a great crime thriller from the late greats John Frankenheimer and Elmore Leonard.  Check it out.

During a New Year's Eve celebration, a Punk Rock & New Wave show host gets a phone call saying that when New Year's strikes in each time zone, someone will be murdered--and she will be the last one.  I watched this horror movie for the first time a couple of weeks ago.  Not bad, not great but I bet Scream Factory does a great job with it.  “Call me Eee-vil”.

Looks like Lionsgate is re-releasing some classic action movies with some new artwork.  Yep, probably gonna have to pick up First Blood.  Again.

I am not a big OU fan but I liked this guy and his not putting up with with anyone attitude.  He was a great college football player and has fancied himself a bit of a movie career.  Check out Cold Stone from 1991, good action flick.
