New Release Tuesday

This is the story behind Commissioner James Gordon's rise to prominence in Gotham City in the years before Batman's arrival.  I broke my network TV vow and watched the first half of this season and liked it a lot but got lost after it came back after the holidays.  This was a high risk move because Fox will axe shows after one showing but this gets really good ratings so they are sticking with it, so far.

After being sent to the electric chair, a serial killer uses electricity to come back from the dead and carry out his vengeance on the football player who turned him in to the police.  This is a very fitting release from Scream Factory since it is from the late, great Wes Craven.  This is a nice horror movie with Skinner from the X-Files.

A laconic, chain-smoking barber blackmails his wife's boss and lover for money to invest in dry cleaning, but his plan goes terribly wrong.  This is another crafty, twisty tale from those geniuses known as the Coen brothers.  I miss Billy Bob being in bigger movies but the guy is enjoying life more living the dream and touring with his band most of the time.  He does a movie a year just to support his band habit.

A crazed scientist creates a half-man, half-cow creature which goes on the rampage at an African game lodge.  A cow with a chainsaw; now that is kind of nature in reverse.
