New Release Last Tuesday

The former World Heavyweight Champion Rocky Balboa serves as a trainer and mentor to Adonis Johnson, the son of his late friend and former rival Apollo Creed.  This was one of 2015’s best movies and it is a shame it was not nominated for more awards at that joke of an Oscar show.  What’s even more of a shame is that the movie’s own studio did not push Sly Stallone for his Oscar nomination as the guy had to pay for his own “For Your Consideration’ Oscar advertising and was knocked out again at the show.  Too bad, the academy could have really scored some points with the public but instead stuck with their political agenda and that is why I am done with that show.  This movie comes with the highest of recommendations.

When Brainiac zaps Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern, Batman and Flash have to go back in time to save them.  These Lego movies are really funny so I am looking forward to checking this out.

After the battle on Endor, the Rebels are retold the story of Episode I and Episode II through the vantage point of C-3PO.  See above.  These have been airing on Disney and if you are a Star Wars fan you really need to check these out, they are hilarious.

Canada's most famous hosers, Bob and Doug McKenzie, get jobs at the Elsinore Brewery, only to learn that something is rotten with the state of it.  An all-time classic comedy that is best with a few brews, some friends, and a dog just so you can sit there and call him Hosehead.  Great cover art!  Now take off, eh.

Young co-eds are being cut up by a chainsaw killer on a college campus. The killer is attempting to put together a human jigsaw puzzle made from body parts.  If you like 80s horror and like horror movies with chainsaws then classic is for you.  This is a great release from Grindhouse Releasing as it has an awesome transfer, is stuffed with many extra features, includes the soundtrack on a separate CD, and comes with a nifty little movie tie in too.  Highly recommended and it is worth the price.
