Beyond the
Gates- Two estranged brothers reunite at their missing father's video store and
find a VCR board game dubbed 'Beyond The Gates' that holds a connection to their
father's disappearance. I have been
waiting to see this and it features commentary from the boys at my favorite
podcast Junk Food Dinner. This is from
Scream Factory so it will look and sound fantastic!
A Dog’s Purpose- A dog looks to discover his purpose in life over the course
of several lifetimes and owners. I am dog lover so this movie looks pretty
cool. Shame on the idiots that edited and
sold a video of one of the dogs doing a stunt during production. The edited version showed the dog not being
very happy about the stunt and being forced into water whereas the real version
of the video shows the dog was treated great and was never in any danger during
that stunt. It is amazing how a few
edits can entirely change your perspective on something you watch. The news media does it all the time.
Autopsy of
Jane Doe- A father and son, both coroners, are pulled into a
complex mystery while attempting to identify the body of a young woman, who was
apparently harboring dark secrets. This
is from the director of Troll Hunter and I have heard nothing but good things
about this flick. This is a Wal Mart
exclusive until June so go by there is you want to get this title.
Spacehunter…- Three women make an emergency landing on a
planet plagued with a fatal disease, but are captured by dictator Overdog.
Adventurer Wolff goes there to rescue them and meets Niki, the only Earthling
left from a medical expedition. Combining their talents, they try to rescue the
women. I thought this movie sucked even
as a kid but it looked cool and it some potential but just never got to
it. I have this on DVD so no need to
double dip here but it does have some cool 80s artwork.
