New Release Tuesday

Sicario: Day of the Soldado- The drug war on the U.S.-Mexico border has escalated as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border. To fight the war, federal agent Matt Graver re-teams with the mercurial Alejandro.   The first one was one of the best movies of that year and this appears to have even more Del Toro this time so I am in.

Tales from the Hood 2- I recently watched the original one for the first time since its initial release and wow does that movie hold up and that is quite a shame as racial injustice has not come very far.  This is co-directed by the original’s director so I look forward to a good horror anthology with what will probably include some present day issues.  And its got Keith David!

Death Race 4: Beyond Anarchy- After an attack on inmate Frankenstein fails a Black Ops specialist enters the maximum prison to join the illegal Death Race and take down Frankenstein.  I have really enjoyed these DTV movies after the Statham one but this one was originally scheduled to come out in January so not sure if that bodes well for this or not.

The Night Stalker- An abrasive Las Vegas newspaper reporter investigates a series of murders committed by a vampire. I had to check because I always assumed the two Kolchak movies came in the Kolchak box set but those are only the TV episodes, so I need to pick this and The Night Strangler up.
