New Release Tuesdays

Halloween II- While Sheriff Brackett and Dr. Loomis hunt for Michael Myers, a traumatized Laurie is rushed to hospital, and the serial killer is not far behind her.  Do we still call this part 2 after the fabulous Halloween 2018 omits this title?  I love this follow up to the original and have bought it more times then I care to admit but this steelbook was to cool not to buy from Scream Factory.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers- A small-town doctor learns that the population of his community is being replaced by emotionless alien duplicates. I do not have a copy of this and was glad to see it coming out on blu.

Arizona- Set in the midst of the 2009 housing crisis, this darkly comedic story follows Cassie Fowler, a single mom and struggling realtor whose life goes off the rails when she witnesses a murder.  Danny McBride is on my cool list so I will check this out.

Antman and the Wasp- As Scott Lang balances being both a Super Hero and a father, Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past. I think this is the only Marvel movie I have missed at the theater so will be spinning this after Halloween is over.

Creepshow- An anthology which tells five terrifying tales based on the E.C. horror comic books of the 1950s.  This is absolutely the best horror anthology and if you have not seen it you need to remedy that right now.  This is another Scream Factory release, so it will be great.

Maximum Overdrive- A group of people try to survive when machines start to come alive and become homicidal.  I have not seen this in years because it has been out of print and I have resisted to buy the crappy DVD on Amazon that is out so I am excited about this Vestron release because the other titles release from them have been superb.

Sisters- A journalist witnesses a brutal murder in a neighboring apartment, but the police do not believe that the crime took place. With the help of a private detective, she seeks out the truth.  This has been on Criterion DVD for a long time so this is the blu upgrade of the De Palma classic with a terrific performance by the late Margot Kidder.
