Look at this! Doing a New Release Tuesday on an actual Tuesday. All is still going well form the Batcave as I have 1 kid left at home and one way at college. That's life now. There is a few interesting titles out his week, let's take a look shall we?
Rancho Deluxe- Two drifters, of widely varying backgrounds, rustle cattle and try to avoid being caught in contemporary Montana. Jeff Bridges is great in anything he does. The movie he is in sometimes may not be that great but that is not his fault, he brings it every time. This is a nice comedy that was early in his career right his Oscar nominated role in one of my faves Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. I love that Dude.
Dune- A Duke's son leads desert warriors against the galactic emperor and his father's evil nemesis to free their desert world from the emperor's rule. When I was a kid I went to this thinking it was the next Star Wars and walked out of the theater very disappointed. I have given this movie a try a few times since then because of its cult status but I just do not care for it. I will give the new one a shot when it comes out.
She Freak- Claire Brennen stars as a waitress who leaves the greasy-diner business for the excitement of the carnival. She quickly discovers that she despises freaks and human oddities. Always looking to support AGFA so I am sure this is a fun piece of crap.
Last Man on Earth- When a disease turns all of humanity into the living dead, the last man on earth becomes a reluctant vampire hunter. This is the OG Omega Man before there was the Omega Man. I have never seen this version and it is in the public domain so there are many copies of this out there, but this is probably the best it will ever look because Kino Lorber has been doing some great work. Do not even mention that Will Smith piece of crap Omega Man knock off here.
