New Release Tuesday

This is a cool looking sci-fi flick from the director of Tron Legacy but hopefully it has a little more substance to it then Tron did.  I am done hating on Tom Cruise as I really enjoyed Mission Impossible 4 and Jack Reacher.  In the near future a veteran assigned to extract Earth's remaining resources begins to question what he knows about his mission and himself.

Here is some great 80s cheese from director Wes Craven and starring Adrienne Barbeau.  After a violent incident with a special chemical, a research scientist is turned into a swamp plant monster.

A nice looking drama starring Matthew McConaughey and Reese (Do you know who I am?) Witherspoon.  McConaughey had quite a great year and brought himself back to some significance with Killer Joe, Magic Mike, and Bernie.  This is a story about two young boys who encounter a fugitive and form a pact to help him evade the bounty hunters on his trail and to reunite him with his true love.

This show was on late Friday nights and I was able to stay up and watch it for some reason.  It was really funny and starred Larry David and Michael Richards both form Seinfeld.  This show also had some great music acts but I wonder how much of that is on here.  This has been in high demand for some time so I look forward to checking this out.

A mid 70s sci-fi flick starring a young Don Johnson and is hands down the best talking dog flick ever.   A post-apocalyptic tale based on a novella by Harlan Ellison. A boy communicates telepathically with his dog as they scavenge for food and sex, and they stumble into an underground society.

After becoming infected with the virus that killed superstar Hannah Geist, Syd March must unravel the mystery surrounding her death to save his own life.  I have heard good things about this and it is from the son of horror royalty David Cronenberg.
