New Release Tuesday

This was known as I Come in Peace when it was released in theaters and this is a very good Dolph Lundgren movie.  Dolph plays a Houston drug cop who is trying to make a big bust but is interrupted by an alien who is collecting a drug from human brains needed on his home planet.  Fun action movie and it is from Scream Factory so it is going to be great!

Another Scream Factory release of 2 early 80s horror movies. I recall the vhs covers but I am not sure if I saw these.

Season 3 brought the group to a more secure location in a prison which should make it easier to survive against zombies.  But first you gotta clear out all the zombies.  This was really good stuff to start out the season and satisfied the fan base with more action and the group was also introduced to a new villain in The Governor.  This guy is a good adversary and makes you want to hang out with zombies instead of him and his group.  We also saw the return of a villain from season one.  Not a bad season but AMC still uses way too many filler episodes and wants to milk this cash cow out.  Season 4 starts in October!

This is a great action movie where Chuck Bronson is a mountain man being harassed by the locals and kills one in self defense.  Lee Marvin is the local law brought in to capture him and the chase is on.  Nice scenery in the mountains as they just do not make them like this anymore.  Also stars Angie Dickinson and Carl Weathers.  Highly recommended.

Director Michael Bay gets away from Transformers to make this smaller action comedy starring the Rock and Mark Wahlberg.  They play bodybuilders in Florida who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong.  I like these boys and lifting weights so I cannot wait to check this out.

Warner Archive brings us this release about a recently institutionalized woman has bizarre experiences after moving into a supposedly haunted country farmhouse and fears she may be losing her sanity once again.  Trailers from Hell brought this to my attention just a couple of weeks ago and it looks really creepy.

The best for last.  SAMCRO sees many changes as Jax takes the gavel and leads the club.  Jax quickly finds out the gavel changes you and he struggles to hold the club together.  Not only is this the best show on TV but it is also the most shocking.  I do not recall the episode number but it is early in the season as I was just left speechless after an intense segment of the show went to a commercial break.  Show runner Kurt Sutter holds nothing back and has done a superb job of laying out this story season by season and of course leaves you wanting more.  Season 6 starts September 10!
