New Release Tuesdays

There is no excuses or there is plenty of them but I just have not got around to doing these.  I got out and purchased the movies I wanted this week and I can get back to watching some of them since I just wrapped up the very awesome Mindhunter on Netflix.  I wanted to a do a 31 days blog this year and I have but I have crapped the bed and actually blogging about it.  Here's the last couple of Tuesday's titles to get excited about.  Now back to watching horror movies!

Spider Man: Far From Home- Following the events of Avengers: Endgame(2019), Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.  I was doing really well at keeping up with the summer films, but this is the one I missed.  I already have it, but this is gonna sit until after October’s horror movie watching is over.

Wanted Dead or Alive- The bounty hunter Nick is offered $250,000 by CIA to get the terrorist behind the bombing of an LA movie theater. Nick quit CIA - he couldn't trust them. Can they be trusted now and can he stop the terrorists?  I remember this being a solid action flick in the day and Rutger was as cool as always.

Ffolkes- When terrorists take over two oil rigs and threaten to blow them up if their demands are not met, an eccentric anti-terrorism expert volunteers his unique commando unit to stop them.  I have never seen this and it is one on those DVDs that has been collecting dust for awhile and I bought it because of Moore but importantly because of Anthony Perkins as the baddie.

Nightmare Beach- After a criminal motorcycle rider is put to death, he comes back from the dead to seek murderous revenge against the residents of a Florida town.  I do not think I have seen this either but the poster does seem familiar.  This premise sounds a lot like The Wraith.

Chernobyl- In April 1986, an explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics becomes one of the world's worst man-made catastrophes.  This is probably the best TV show you could watch that has come out this year.  A very powerful story about that those events in Russia and all the mistakes that were made and what they did to try to cover them up.

Midsommar- A couple travels to Sweden to visit a rural hometown's fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.  I have tried not to read much about this but I hear it’s the scariest damn movie to come out in awhile so I will be spinning this real soon.

Shazam! The Complete Live Action Series- A young boy, able to transform into the superhero Captain Marvel, travels the country fighting evil and helping people.  I don’t why but this look like a lot of fun.  I want to see how he flys in this show.

Toy Story 4- When a new toy called "Forky" joins Woody and the gang, a road trip alongside old and new friends reveals how big the world can be for a toy.  I rank Toy Story 3 pretty high so part 4 was going to need to bring it to even come close and it turned out to be a really good movie.  Toy Story 3 was the very first movie I saw with the whole family and we still all go together to the theater on occasion but this was a great time and we all liked it.

Annabelle: Comes Home- While babysitting the daughter of Ed and Lorraine Warren, a teenager and her friend unknowingly awaken an evil spirit trapped in a doll.  I really like the Conjuring universe and the last Annabelle movie was better than the first one and I hear this one is even better so bring it dollie.

SHAZAM brings back a lot of Saturday morning memories for me.
