New Release Tuesday

War for the Planet of the Apes- After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind.  The first two of these were fantastic and I am ready to see what these damn apes are up to in this one.  Having Woody Harrelson as the baddie looks cool and it seems like he goes all Colonel Kurtz on them.  I will be spinning this real soon.

Annabelle: Creation- 12 years after the tragic death of their little girl, a doll maker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, where they soon become the target of the dollmaker's possessed creation, Annabelle.  I enjoyed the first one a lot and I really liked director David F. Sandberg’s first movie Lights Out.

Dawn of the Dead 2004: A nurse, a policeman, a young married couple, a salesman, and other survivors of a worldwide plague that is producing aggressive, flesh-eating zombies, take refuge in a mega Midwestern shopping mall.  This is one of the best remakes ever as it takes the good stuff from the original and puts a few new spins on the thing like in this one we have running Zombies and a cool bus with chainsaws on it.

The Barn- Its Halloween 1989, best friends Sam and Josh are trying to enjoy what's left of their final Devil's Night before graduating high school. But trouble arises when the two pals and a group of friends take a detour on their way to a rock concert, finding an old abandoned barn and awakening the evil inside. Now it's up to Sam and Josh to find a way to protect their friends and defeat the creatures that lurk within "The Barn".  This is a little pricey right now but I like farm related horror movies.  I am looking at you Dark Night of the Scarecrow.
